LONDON, UK – May 16, 2013 – Johnson Controls has earned a top rating for the eighth consecutive year from the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ (IAOP). Johnson Controls’ inclusion in this year’s IAOP Global Outsourcing 100 list is on the strength of its real estate and facilities management business.
“As applicants continually raise the bar and as the outsourcing industry continues to grow and mature in many markets, competition is tougher,” said Jag Dalal, managing director of thought leadership, IAOP and chairman of the judges' panel. “Being named to The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors is a great achievement, particularly given the strong competition, and we are proud to recognize Johnson Controls for its excellence.”
Johnson Controls was ranked the 10th best global outsourcing company on the 2013 list, up from 16th place in 2012. The Global Outsourcing 100 is comprised of companies from a variety of outsourcing sectors including information technology, business process outsourcing, facility services, real estate and capital asset management, manufacturing and logistics.
The ranking is based on the size and growth of a company, along with customer references and external company recognition. The independent panel of judges gave high scores for Johnson Controls’ executive leadership, global presence, company certifications and employee management.
The company was also recognized on a number of Global Outsourcing 100 sub-lists, including corporate social responsibility in outsourcing, oil and natural gas, pharmaceuticals, technology, as well as real estate and capital asset management.
“Being listed as one of world’s top companies in the outsourcing sector for eight consecutive years is testament to the dedication of our teams,” said Guy Holden, Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions, vice president and general manager. “The facilities management and real estate outsourcing sector is changing in that contracts are becoming far more global in nature, which means that we increasingly support customers in emerging markets. The key to success in our marketplace is continuous improvement, coupled with the development of specialist services in our key markets.”
Johnson Controls enjoys partnerships with a number of its customers that are more than 20 years old, which demonstrates the company’s ability to provide additional value to multi-generation contracts.
