May 23, 2013

MILWAUKEE – (May 23, 2013) – Johnson Controls, a global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, recently earned “World Class” distinction in four categories for its program designed to help customers better understand the company’s products, service and values.

The Association for Briefing Program Managers (ABPM) gave top honors to Johnson Controls Building Efficiency for its global customer briefing program in the categories of: management, measurement, marketing and planning at its annual conference in Chicago.

"The Johnson Controls briefing program attained the highest level of excellence in every program category,” said Roxanne McCreery, president of ABPM. “Neither of these accomplishments is at all easy, which makes this award live up to the true meaning of the designation "World Class".

Business leaders at Johnson Controls recognize that this innovative program is enhancing customer relationships.

"Johnson Controls sees the value our briefing program brings to our customers," said Sherrie Williams, director, global customer visits and engagement, Johnson Controls Building Efficiency. "We want our customers to know all that Johnson Controls can deliver to help them achieve their goals and this center helps them understand the scope and depth of our expertise as a global building efficiency leader.”

The customer showcase hosts nearly 8,000 customers, partners, community members and employees annually. A redesigned customer showcase launched in October 2011 with a vision to tell Johnson Control’s story in an intriguing and innovative way, designed to help customers collaborate and engage.

In 2012, the Milwaukee showcase was awarded ABPM’s “World Class for New Centers”. This top honor was earned by fostering world-class standards, collaboration, insight and thought leadership in the briefing program industry.
