HONG KONG – March 13, 2013 – Johnson Controls, a global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, received two prominent industrial refrigeration Golden Chain Awards at the Sixth Annual China Cold Chain Industry Summit in Kunshan, China. Cicci Xi, Johnson Controls General Manager of Industrial Refrigeration, received the “Extraordinary Woman Within the Industry” award and the YORK® RWKII refrigeration product line was named “Best Applied Product”.
Xi won the Golden Chain Award for her work in raising the technical and professional standards in China’s refrigeration industry. Since joining Johnson Controls in 1999, she has been dedicated in raising the technical ability and standards in the China refrigeration industry by building up expert teams and cultivating talents at the company. In 2008, she received the Johnson Controls’ Global Masters Award, the highest recognition given by the company to its employees for exemplary performance. Xi has a Bachelor of Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University and a Master of Business Administration from Donghua University.
The YORK® RWKII refrigeration product line is designed and assembled in Johnson Controls’ manufacturing facility located in Wuxi, China. The unit combines a rotary screw compressor with a factory-mounted control panel and other auxiliary components in a flexible modular design to improve efficiency and reliability for large industrial applications such as cold storage and distribution centers, food processing plants, breweries, and chemical and pharmaceutical plants.
Cui Zhongfu, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing presented Johnson Controls with the two awards at a conference ceremony. The event recognized Johnson Controls’ contributions in advancing both industrial technology and talent programs in China.
Established in 2010, the Golden Chain Awards recognize outstanding contributions by companies and individuals and are considered a top industry honor in China.
