Florence Recycling Facility Honored For Energy Savings

Nov 14, 2013

CHARLOTTE, N.C., November 14, 2013 – Johnson Controls’ Battery Recycling Facility in Florence, S.C. has been honored by a national energy company for responsible energy use.

Duke Energy named the facility one of its 2013 Power Partners, a designation for companies that model sustainability.

Duke established the awards in 1992 to highlight large businesses that demonstrate a commitment to energy efficiency and business growth.

The Johnson Controls Florence location is one of 18 award winners across the country.

“Duke Energy congratulates the 2013 Power Partner award winners,” said Joni Davis, vice president, large account management at Duke Energy. “This diverse group of winners demonstrates that smart energy usage is achievable by organizations of all sizes, across many industries. We applaud the examples set by these organizations.”

Johnson Controls will be recognized at a ceremony this winter.
